Starke County Recovery Community Organization's mission is joining hands with our community to offer hope and support to people impacted by substance use disorder, and to show recovery works.
Our Goals
This is a newly developed Recovery Community Organization (RCO). We welcome community involvement to build out our services and help inform our priorities and decision-making processes. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering; participating in activities; or planning outreach, events, and programs.
- Obtain 501(c)3 non-profit status
- Establish a strong executive board leading a growing RCO
- Establish strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, and partner organizations
- Establish infrastructure for managing revenue from fundraising and donation efforts
- Establish infrastructure for managing staff and volunteers to provide activities and services
- Obtain and develop the necessary infrastructure to establish financial and operational stability
- Obtain an Executive Director and establish a solid executive board-director partnership leading an established, growing, and sustainable RCO
- Strengthen partnerships and the presence of the organization in the community
- Develop the necessary infrastructure for multiple contract fund management, audits, and fiduciary responsibilities
- Establish a plan for services and provide services to meet the substance use disorder (SUD) and recovery needs of the community
- Establish goals and benchmarks for 3 and 5 years of operation to support the organization’s growth, sustainability, and community recovery capital provided by the organization
- Establish goals and benchmarks for 3 and 5 years of governance to support the organization in leadership development, board functionality, and organizational direction in the development and provision of services
- Establish goals and benchmarks for 3 and 5 years of marketing and relationship building to support the organization’s partnership and donor targets for financial sustainability
- Establish goals and benchmarks for 3 and 5 years of operation to further develop a culture of fundraising among board members and enhance financial strategies
- Establish goals and benchmarks for 3 and 5 years of program development and service delivery
